Grammar

1. Use case: Describe a state that exists because someone intentionally performed an action (transitive verb), with focus on the resulting state rather than the action itself. Pattern: V（他動詞・て形）あります
   • Example:
     • 壁に鏡がかけてあります。
     • かべにかがみがかけてあります。
     • A mirror has been hung on the wall (and is there now).
2. Use case: Specify where a prepared object is, and what is written/placed there. Pattern: N1に N2が V（て形）あります
   • Example:
     • カレンダーに今週の予定が書いてあります。
     • カレンダーにこんしゅうのよていがかいてあります。
     • This week’s schedule is written on the calendar.
3. Use case: State that something has already been prepared or announced for someone, often with もう. Pattern: N2は N1に V（て形）あります
   • Example:
     • 会議室の時間はもう皆さんに知らせてあります。
     • かいぎしつのじかんはもうみなさんにしらせてあります。
     • The meeting room time has already been announced to everyone.
4. Use case: Describe an action done in advance as preparation, or as a temporary/stopgap measure. Pattern: V（て形）おきます
   • Example:
     • 旅行のまえにホテルを予約しておきます。
     • りょこうのまえにホテルをよやくしておきます。
     • I’ll book a hotel before the trip (as preparation).
5. Use case: State that a situation is still ongoing / unchanged. Pattern: まだ＋V（present, affirmative)
   • Example:
     • まだ降っていますか。ええ、まだ降っています。
     • まだふっていますか。ええ、まだふっています。
     • Is it still raining? Yes, it’s still raining.
6. Use case: Refer back to what the conversation partner just said, showing agreement or reaction. Pattern: それは＋Adj／それは いいですね
   • Example:
     • それはいいですね。
     • それはいいですね。
     • That’s nice.
