Pattern N1は N2 です is used to state that N1 is N2.
Example:
私は学生です。
わたしはがくせいです。
I am a student.
Negative form N1は N2 じゃありません is used to state that N1 is not N2.
Example:
彼は先生じゃありません。
かれはせんせいじゃありません。
He is not a teacher.
Question pattern N1は N2 ですか is used to ask if N1 is N2.
Example:
あなたは会社員ですか。
あなたはかいしゃいんですか。
Are you a company employee?
N も is used to indicate “also” or “too”.
Example:
彼も学生です。
かれもがくせいです。
He is also a student.
N1の N2 is used to connect two nouns.
